#WinterWeather Alert 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8: Snow plows will begin winter weather operations at 10 p.m. Per winter weather policies, the plows will focus on snow emergency routes until the snow stops falling or moving due to the wind. Then the plows will be able to move to residential roads.

Remember:
⏰ Plan ahead for your morning commute by adding extra travel time to reach your destination.
⚠️ If you encounter snow plows on the road be sure to keep a safe distance and don’t attempt to pass them.
🚗 Move parked cars off of the streets to allow snow plows to work efficiently.
🚨 Clear any fire hydrants in your street from snow and ice so they are quickly accessible in an emergency.

Recreational Fire Guidelines

• Recreational fires cannot be located within 25 feet of a structure (including decks and fences) or other combustible material unless they are in a approved container designed for this purpose, such as a screened appliance.

• Approved containers shall be at least 15 feet from structures.

• Any condition that could cause a fire to spread within 25 feet of a structure needs to be eliminated before lighting the fire.

• The fire cannot be more than three feet in diameter and must be two feet or less in height.

• All recreational fires must be constantly attended until the fire is extinguished.

• Do not burn anything other than dry wood.

• Any recreational fire that will be offensive or objectionable due to smoke or odor emissions is prohibited.

• A fire extinguisher or a garden hose must be available for immediate use.

• Be a good neighbor and don't use a recreational fire on breezy days that will spread the smoke through the neighborhood.
