The new West Fargo Fire Department headquarters will help improve the emergency responsiveness in West Fargo and will house all the command staff in one building. In addition, it will help further the City of West Fargo’s goals of reaching an ISO rating of one, which helps reduce the cost of property insurance for residents and businesses in West Fargo. Construction is set to begin in spring 2021, with a goal of completion in late summer of 2022. The total cost of the project is $10 million and will be funded using capital improvement sales tax. The West Fargo Fire Department is also pursuing federal grants to offset the cost of the project.
