Designated spots for residents to hold transactions in a public location. Transactions may include online purchases, child custody exchanges or situations where meeting in a public location will help improve overall safety.

- West Fargo Fire Department - South station (445 29th Ave. W.)
This area is under video surveillance, but is not monitored 24/7. A staff person is not assigned to viewing the footage or transactions on a regular basis.
Safe Environment
The Safe Spot Swaps provide a safe environment for residents to hold transactions in a public location including online purchases, trades or other private party transactions. Additionally, the areas can be used as a safe and neutral site for child custody exchanges. The goal of the Safe Spot Swaps is to help reduce fraudulent transactions, thefts and robberies to promote overall safety.
The Safe Spot Swaps consists of parking spaces marked with Safe Spot Swap signage.
Additional Information
The exchange of drugs, weapons, alcohol and/or any illegal items is not permitted. All exchanges must be person-to-person. In the case of custody transfers, the Safe Spot Swap is not a drop-off area where parents can leave children for a later pick-up time.
